Module Level Control (MLC) is a new and very powerful concept in the management and control of Photovoltaic arrays. Historically the lowest level of information has been inverter data which can mask a wide range of performance and safety issues in a PV system. With Module Level data, a much deeper understanding of the performance and safety environment is made available to a wide range of interested parties, from Operations and Maintenance teams to Module manufacturers.
