The Active Tag
- Monitors the module performance and other environmental conditions
- Independently isolates the module in response to an abnormal fault and danger conditions
- Transmits all data to the Active Combiner
- Isolates the PV module when not “in service”
- Assigns an individual identification code to each module, used both for communication and asset tracking purposes
Active Combiner
The intelligence and management console of Active Array™ is the Active Combiner. The Active Combiner is a multi-channel device, able to manage multiple strings of Active Array™ modules.
- Manages up to 8 strings of Active Array™ modules
- Combines 8 strings down to two outputs with full intelligent reverse current protection
- Provides both a manual switch interface and software based intelligent switching to isolate individual strings on request or in response to fault conditions
- Measures performance of individual strings of Active Array™ modules allowing diagnosis of voltage drops or fault conditions
- Communicates with the Active Tags to manage safety and performance in response to fault conditions
- Communicates with Active Tags to retrieve and store performance and fault condition data
- Provides a wireless PC management interface for control and data analysis
Active Array™ PC Management Console
The Active Array™ Management Console is a PC user interface which maintains live and historical module level performance data for each module and provides the unique ability to control and isolate individual modules and strings.
